At this stage the landscaping begins. The first step was to distribute a 1 inch thick layer of sand over the filter fabric shown in the previous photo. Now a special mixture of 75% top soil mixed with 25% sand, to promote drainage, is brought in and distributed over the green roof area to a depth of 12 inches.
