The first floor garage walls are framed up and now the steel is being set in place. A large 12 inch tall I beam carrys the load over the 18 foot wide garage door. Connected to the 12 inch beam, is a 10" beam that runs from the front of the garage to a 20 foot tall post that sits on a concrete footing in the basement. The header beam over the garage door is supported by a steel post at each end.
