This photo gives a good view of the garage wall footings in the background. To the left you can see we are starting to bring in the gravel fill that forms the base of the apron in front of the garage. You will notice that the footing walls of the garage are covered with EPDM rubber. You can also see that the EPDM rubber covers the entire area inside the garage footings to form a sort of "bathtub" that will catch any rain water and snow melt that runs off the cars when they are parked inside the garage.

Also notice the EPS (expanded polystyrene) sheets covering the EDPM rubber. The gravel is spread directly on top of the EPS. The plywood sheets are used to protect the EPS during construction.
